CAA Support of C-NP School District Teacher of the Year Presentation & Special Recognition:  In case you missed our earlier post, YOUR CAA provided both monetary and volunteer support of this wonderful ceremony honoring our school district’s outstanding teachers.  YOUR CAA was also recognized as the recipient of the 2021-22 C-NP Schools Citizen of The Year award – another example of our PARTNERSHIP with the C-NP Schools.

Meetings with Choctaw-Nicoma Park Public Schools Foundation Leadership:  A CAA Board representative attended the May monthly meeting of the C-NP Schools Foundation.  This invitation was a follow-up to earlier discussions/meetings with Foundation leadership exploring mutually beneficial collaboration and support opportunities.  The Foundation is planning a Shrimp Boil in October 2022 as part of their fund-raising efforts that provide significant grants to C-NP teachers.  YOUR CAA wholeheartedly endorses and supports the Foundation and their mission.  We will keep you posted on the Shrimp Boil event details as they become available.

Memorial Day Remembrances:  On this upcoming Memorial Day, we once again pause to honor the memories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms in the service of our great nation’s armed forces.  In this time of reflection, it is also fitting that we remember our CHS classmates, faculty, and staff members who are no longer with us.  Many of those individuals had a tremendous impact upon our individual and collective lives.  If you would like to honor their memory in a special way, you can do so by making a Remembrance/In-Memoriam Donation to YOUR Alumni Association.  These donations help ensure that the CAA can continue to accomplish our Partnership with the C-NP Schools in Preserving the Past, Promoting the Present, and Pursuing the Future on behalf of all students and alumni.
