Checkout the Events Calendar and the corresponding referenced sections on the website.  Many highlights are listed below illustrating YOUR Alumni Association’s continuing “Giving Back” partnership commitment to our schools, alumni, students, faculty, patrons and communities at large.

Welcome New CAA Board Members:

Please join in welcoming the latest additions to YOUR CAA Board leadership team:  Jennifer (Points) McElvany {Class of 1974}; Randy Bernardi {Class of 1978}; and Jackie (Freeman) Harris {Class of 1990.}  These CHS Alumni join a stellar group who generously volunteer their time and resources to help further the CAA’s short and long-term initiatives.

CAA Presentation of C-NP District Teacher of the Year Donation

The CAA sincerely appreciates the outstanding faculty within the C-NP School District.  Their dedicated commitment to their profession and their tireless efforts on behalf of their students are worthy of commendation and recognition not only on special occasions but throughout the year.  YOUR CAA presented a $1250 donation to support the 2025 C-NP District Teacher of the Year Ceremony.  The CAA also continued its tradition of providing volunteer support during the event.

2025 CAA Scholarships Award Presentation – May 12, 2025

YOUR Alumni Association will award a total of $17,000 in scholarships to eight OUTSTANDING CHS Seniors at the 5/12/2025 C-NP School Board meeting.  Caroline Graham and Jenna Peyton will be awarded Robby Whiteley Health Profession Scholarships ($2500 each.)  Jared Malan and Kyriaki Thompson will be awarded Ruth Shaw Memorial – STEM Emphasis Scholarships ($2000 each.)   Nathan Keifer, Rebekah Lockert, Maleah Watley, and Max Whitlock will be awarded CHS Alumni Memorial Scholarships ($2000 each.)

Each scholarship recipient was highly recommended by CHS Faculty representatives for stellar academic performance, outstanding character, and other exemplary accomplishments.  Each scholarship will be used to further their respective academic/career pursuits.

Since the inaugural scholarship award in 2022, the CAA has now awarded $35,000 in scholarships to CHS Seniors.  Funding for these and future scholarships is made possible by generous donations from CHS Alumni and our local business/community partners – especially through their collective participation in and support of the CAA’s primary fundraising efforts: the Annual Alumni Golf Tourney and the All Class Reunion.

CAA Scholarship Donations – 2025 Matching Funds Challenge

Dr Robby Whiteley {CHS Class of 1970} has generously offered to match any donation made for CAA Scholarships during 2025 “dollar for dollar” up to $5000.  This is in addition to the $5000 for CAA Health Profession Scholarships that Dr Whiteley and family are already funding annually.  We sincerely appreciate Dr Whiteley’s passion and commitment to the “young learners” of his alma mater.  We are also thankful for several other CHS Alumni who generously support CAA Scholarship initiatives with their annual donations.  We encourage others to join in these most worthwhile of investments – CAA Scholarships – as we attempt to fulfill our “Pursue The Future” mission objective.

The event will include a no-charge Social from 4-6 pm in the CMS foyer area where Silent Auction and Raffle drawing items will be available for viewing/bidding.  A catered meal ($30/person), brief program, and individual/group photos will follow from 6-7:30 pm.  Raffle drawing and Silent Auction winners will be announced at 7:30 pm.  More details are posted on the Class Reunions page.
