CAA September-October 2023 News Bulletin

2023 has been an eventful and “event full” year for YOUR CAA.  Things are winding down for 2023 and gearing up for 2024.  “Thank You” for all that you have done to support YOUR CAA in these past months and what you will do in the upcoming year.  Some recent happenings and reminders are listed below.

CAA “Giving Back” Donations in 2023

YOUR CAA presented a $3,733.82 check for the Choctaw-Nicoma Park Schools Museum at the 10/09/2023 C-NP School Board meeting.  This donation consisted of the net proceeds raised from the CAA’s 2023 Annual Reunion Gala on June 10th.  It brought the total donated for the Museum in 2023 to $4,933.82.  Along with previous donations made for the C-NP Teacher of the Year Ceremony, Scholarships to CHS Seniors, Instructional Grants to each C-NP school site, and Choctaw-Nicoma Park Public Schools Foundation (CNPPSF) teacher grants; YOUR CAA has donated $17,183.82 as part of OUR ongoing efforts in support of alumni, students, and faculty of C-NP Schools and our respective communities.

Help YOUR CAA Fund These Worthwhile Projects

In order to support these endeavors at existing and, hopefully, expanded levels, YOUR CAA requires generous donations from individuals and our Business/Community Partners & Sponsors.  These donations along with YOUR continued participation and support of YOUR CAA’s two annual fundraisers – the Alumni Golf Tournament and the All-Class Reunion Gala – are essential.  Check out the CAA Giving Opportunities and make a Donation Now to YOUR CAA!!!

2024 CAA Board Leadership & Leadership/Volunteer Openings

Annual CAA Board elections were conducted in accordance with the CAA Bylaws at the CAA Board Meeting on 09/12/2023.  YOUR CAA has been and continues to be extremely blessed with very competent and dedicated Board leadership since its inception. Click on the following link for the current CAA Board composition.

In this vein, YOUR CAA has Board Leadership openings in the following areas: Treasurer (alternate/trainee); Secretary; Publicity/Website (alternate/trainee.)  The Board also has other Board seat vacancies that can be filled in accordance with CAA Bylaws.  We especially need an “infusion” of CHS Alumni from the 1970s onward who are willing to volunteer their time and talents.  Click on the following link to Volunteer and/or submit your name for Board leadership consideration.
